Job Description

 

Position Summary: 

The Business Analyst (BA) will play a key role in the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) organization and work directly with clinical and operational staff across the organization. The BA will be responsible for identifying business needs, analyzing processes, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand needs, gather requirements, design business cases, solutions, and ensure projects deliver measurable benefits in efficiency, quality, and performance.

 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Business & Project Support

  • Develop and build relationships with stakeholders throughout the company
  • Collaborate and support stakeholders in learning processes, understanding problems, identifying inconsistencies and assisting with improvements
  • Work with both CQI and PI teams to conduct interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs to gather information and requirements
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional and technical requirements
  • Work with stakeholders in determining requirement t-shirt sizes and priorities including developing business cases to support the implementation
  • Document as-is and to-be processes
  • Assist in planning, executing and monitoring critical activities and deliverables at various levels
  • Document and track project opportunities, risks, issues & decisions
  • Validate solutions during testing phases and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Ensure deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards

 

 Data & Reporting

  • Collect, validate, and interpret data to provide insights and support decision-making
  • Analyze data with stakeholders regularly for reporting including key KPIs
  • Identify trends, KPIs, and performance metrics to inform leadership
  • Prepare reports for stakeholder reviews
  • Assist in identifying data gaps and improvement opportunities

 

Knowledge and Skills: 

·         Ability to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines regarding client information

·         Ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency

·         Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees at all levels

·         Ability to evaluate situations and adopt an effective course of action, to delegate responsibilities, organize and present facts effectively

·         Ability to work and maintain multiple projects in conjunction with the Project Manager

·         Ability to work with various systems while maintaining professionalism, maturity, objectivity and a cooperative attitude

 

Education and Experience: 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field, OR equivalent experience

·         Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills

·         Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

·         Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights

·         Proficiency with productivity and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, etc.)

·         Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL preferred)

·         Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

·         Experience supporting projects in a business, healthcare, technology, or operations environment

·         Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, PMI frameworks)

·         Knowledge of workflow tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro)

·         Willingness to obtain Project Management or Business Analyst certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, Lean Six Sigma, or PMI-PBA)

·         Willingness to travel to various locations throughout the organization on a regular basis
