Position Duties
Key Responsibilities
As a Convenience Site Attendant, you will:
- Operates trash compactor in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Direct traffic flow at the convenience site and assist waste haulers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Monitors refuse and recycling collection areas and enforces County regulations regarding proper waste disposal.
- Identifies, discourages, and reports illegal dumping and unauthorized use by out-of-County residents.
- Maintains cleanliness and general upkeep of the convenience site and grounds, including litter control and raking as required.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance of equipment and reports repair needs.
- Communicate with the public cooperatively and professionally, providing courteous customer service, including answering questions and providing assistance.
- Assists customers with off-loading waste materials.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to follow specific instructions and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts
