LOCATION: Clear Lake, CA 95422

FLSA STATUS: Exempt
INITIAL PAY RANGE: $70,000 - $95,000 + (DOE)
STATUS: Full-Time

Position Summary:

Join the Elem Indian Colony in launching an exciting new Tribal enterprise from the ground up. Quail Mountain Market is a brand-new convenience store and fuel station designed to serve the community while creating long-term economic opportunity for the Colony. As the inaugural Convenience Store & Fuel Station General Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in establishing operational processes, building and mentoring a high-performing team, and setting the foundation for a successful and sustainable business. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial and hands-on leader to shape a new enterprise and make a lasting impact in support of the Colony's vision for self-determination, stewardship, and community prosperity.

The Convenience Store & Fuel Station General Manager is a hands-on operational leader responsible for the full-scope management of the Elem Indian Colony's retail convenience store and fuel station enterprise known as "Quail Mountain Market". This position oversees all aspects of daily store operations, team leadership, financial performance, inventory control, customer experience, regulatory compliance, and facility maintenance. The General Manager serves as the primary on-site authority and is accountable for driving profitability, protecting Tribal assets, and ensuring the enterprise operates to the highest standards of service and safety. This role operates under the direction of the Tribal Administrator or designated executive and is expected to represent the Colony's values of community, stewardship, and self-determination in all aspects of enterprise management.
