We provide a variety of customized HR solutions and services to our clients, empowering leaders to focus on their core business and enabling them to grow their organizations more quickly and efficiently.

As the leader of our legal and compliance team, you will provide overall labor and employment law guidance and work directly with our internal teams including human resources professionals. • Coordinate response to quantified risks, prepare and deliver regular reports based on thorough operational risk analysis and insights.
  • Ensure risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with applicable regulations, contracts, state and city laws, and strategic goals.
  • Assist with developing strategy and protocol to assess employment law-related legal risks associated with client transactions.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner by providing practical, risk-based legal advice and developing creative, compliant solutions that help the business achieve its objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify paths forward that balance business needs with legal and regulatory requirements, rather than simply identifying obstacles.

  • Lead and execute strategic design and process improvement projects internally.
  • Investigate and respond to claims, EEOC charges and other administrative actions.
  • Oversee employment litigation matters, regulatory hearings, and investigations.
  • Maintain excellent partnerships with clients to meet their legal and business needs.
  • Provide support for any other matter as may become necessary.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in labor and employment in private practice or corporate legal department strongly preferred.
  • Law degree (JD)
  • Strong preference for experience in advising PEOs and/or PEO clients.
  • Hold a corporate counsel license in NYS
