Role Overview

The CrewBoss Operations Manager is responsible for the quality manufacturing of all CrewBoss products, both manufactured and subcontracted. This role ensures all manufacturing operations meet production demands and collaborates with the purchasing department to achieve cost, quality, and delivery goals. Additionally, the Operations Manager works closely with the R&D team to facilitate successful new product introductions. This position is assigned to CrewBoss, a member of the Western Protective Solutions family located in Eugene, Oregon and reports directly to the CrewBoss President.

 


Responsibilities

  • Provide inspired leadership across the organization.
  • Make critical policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
  • Review and implement best practice business procedures to enhance daily operations.
  • Manage key projects, processes, and performance data.
  • Provide budgets for product development projects.
  • Develop methods for monitoring project expenditures and progress, keeping management informed.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 standards by driving adherence to quality management processes, partnering with cross-functional teams, and leading continuous improvement efforts to maintain certification status.
  • Communicate new directives, policies, and/or procedures effectively to managers and staff.
  • Provide appropriate support for Sales, Quality and Shipping functions within the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate ongoing performance to achieve financial objectives and meet customer requirements.
  • Enhance customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural improvements and lean principles.
  • Lead coordination and integration of efforts among operations, R&D, quality, and customer service divisions to optimize workflow and business processes.
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
  • Develop, implement and review operational policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
  • Address workplace safety issues and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Select, develop, train and supervise associates within department.
  • Approve employee hours and manage timecards, ensuring accurate representation of hours worked and leave taken.
  • Provide employees with ongoing support, feedback and counseling on performance issues, conduct annual performance reviews and, when necessary, disciplinary and corrective action.
  • Liaise with HR to address employee issues and training needs.
  • Ensure employees follow company policies and are held accountable.
