Position Summary: 

The Crisis Services Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational and clinical oversight of crisis intervention services within an assigned coverage area. This position ensures timely, effective, and high-quality responses to individuals experiencing behavioral health and substance use crises while maintaining compliance with agency policies, Medicaid requirements, Department of Human Services (DHS) expectations, Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) regulations, and grant requirements.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate clinical consultation and support to crisis response staff.
  • Supervise and lead Crisis Counselors, Peer Support Specialists, and other assigned staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive, and accountable work environment.
  • Develop staffing schedules to ensure continuous 24/7 crisis coverage.
  • Manage crisis response operations and staff assignments.
  • Coordinate crisis response efforts with hospitals, emergency departments, law enforcement agencies, EMS, schools, dispatch centers, and community providers.
  • Support implementation of CESSA and other statewide crisis initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of agency policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with Medicaid, DHS, HFS, accreditation, and grant requirements.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Participate in leadership meetings, committees, workgroups, and strategic planning activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) required.
  •  Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience providing or overseeing crisis intervention services and minimum of three (3) years of therapy or direct service provision with diverse populations.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervision and/or administrative experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in community behavioral health settings.
  • Prior experience working within grant-funded programs.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Crisis Response, Crisis System of Care, Medicaid, DHS, and HFS requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Approximately 25% of work time spent standing, walking, or traveling.
  • Travel throughout the service area as needed to fulfill essential job duties.
  • Ability to respond to crisis situations in community settings when necessary.

Shifts Available:

  • Days- 8:30am-5pm
  • Afternoons-2pm-11pm
  • Midnights-11pm-8am
