Facilities Monitoring & Operations



  • Monitor and manage critical Data Centre (DC) facilities infrastructure in a 24x7 Centralized Network Operations Centre (CNOC) environment.

  • Perform real-time monitoring of electrical, mechanical and environmental systems including UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH units, power distribution systems, temperature and humidity monitoring, leak detection systems and access control systems.

  • Respond promptly to facility alarms, incidents and abnormalities, and escalate issues to customer success team, technical specialists and customers based on severity and operational impact.

  • Ensure Building Management Systems (BMS), Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS), DCIM tools and IoT monitoring devices are functioning accurately and reliably.

  • Coordinate with onsite operations teams during maintenance activities, equipment failures, planned shutdowns and emergency response situations.

  • Monitor facility performance trends and highlight recurring alarms or abnormalities for corrective actions.


 


Incident, Change & Maintenance Coordination



  • Support facilities incident management processes including incident logging, escalation, tracking and closure within defined SLA timelines.

  • Manage change requests workflow with internal teams

  • Ensure proper documentation and shift handover updates for all incidents, maintenance activities and operational events.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of facilities-related issues.


 


Operational Support & Reporting



  • Maintain accurate operational records, alarm logs, escalation reports and facilities documentation.

  • Assist in generating operational and facilities performance reports for management review.

  • Manage OneNxera Portal

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, monitoring effectiveness and service reliability.

  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety requirements and data centre best practices.


 


Skills for Success


 



  • ITE, Nitec/Higher Nitec or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management or related discipline.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Data Centre Operations, Facilities Operations or mission critical infrastructure environments.

  • Candidates with relevant hands-on experience in 24x7 operations environments are encouraged to apply.

  • Basic understanding of Data Centre facilities systems including power, cooling, environmental monitoring and building management systems.

  • Familiarity with facilities monitoring tools such as BMS, EMS, DCIM or Servicenow systems is advantageous.

  • Knowledge of incident management, escalation handling and change management processes.

  • ITIL Foundation certification will be an added advantage.

  • Able to work effectively in a 24x7 shift environment (12-hours shift rotation)

  • Good troubleshooting, coordination and communication skills.

  • Team players with positive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Able to remain calm and organized during operational incidents and high-pressure situations.
