Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Software Engineer to join our team, specializing in Model-Based Design (MBD) hand coded software components and Functional Unit Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating Simulink based models, Detailed design and unit test specifications, developing and executing automated tests using TPT and ensuring the robustness and reliability of embedded software used in automotive systems.


Key Responsibilities


·       Model based Development using MATLAB/Simulink, Detailed Design document creation.

·       Develop unit test specifications for MBD/C components based on software requirements and design documents.

·       Design and implement automated unit tests using TPT (Time Partition Testing) or Simulink Test Framework.

·       Collaborate with software developers and system engineers to understand functional requirements and model behavior and making required Changes.

·       Perform test execution, debugging, and analysis of test results to identify issues and ensure quality.

·       Maintain and enhance test frameworks and infrastructure for continuous integration and automated testing.

·       Document test cases, results, and coverage metrics to support software verification and validation.

·       Participate in code reviews, model inspections, and test strategy discussions.

·       Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ASPICE (SWE.3/SWE.4) , ISO 26262, and MISRA where applicable.


Required Qualifications


·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or related field and 3 to 5 years of working experience in Software Development and Testing.

·       Strong experience in Model-Based Design (MBD) using tools like MATLAB/Simulink.

·       Hands-on experience with TPT/Simulink Test for unit testing in MIL/SIL environment.

·       Familiarity with embedded systems, real-time software, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.).

·       Understanding of software development lifecycle and unit testing methodologies.

·       Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

·       Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications


·       Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety processes.

·       Exposure to AUTOSAR architecture and tools.

·       Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).

·       Experience with requirements management and traceability tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, Codebeamer).
