Job Description

CUSTODIAL WORKER


City of Williams Position Description Regular Full-time Position (Grade 4)

Summary of Position
Perform janitorial maintenance of the City’s facilities.

Organizational Relationships
1.    Reports to:  Maintenance Superintendent
2.    Directs:        This is a nonsupervisory position.
3.     Other:        Works with the general public and other City employees and performs janitorial and maintenance services. You must be 18 to operate the equipment necessary to perform the job. The work schedule is as follows: Mon-Fri or Wed-Sun.

Essential Duties
·    Performs routine janitorial cleaning and minor repairs at park areas and other City‐owned facilities and properties.
·    Performs other related duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Perform snow relocation as needed.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
·    Familiarity with City and OSHA safety requirements.
·    Knowledge of SDS for each chemical used.
·    Knowledge of proper safety equipment when performing tasks.
  • Use of power tools and hand tools.
·    Knowledge and understanding of correctly using the following equipment: weed eater, push mower, hedge trimmer, chain saw, and snowblower.
·    Ability to operate safely necessary equipment, including weed eaters, lawn mowers, and hedge trimmers.
·    Ability to use and wear all required personal protective equipment.
·    Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and be exposed to outside elements and objectionable materials.
·    Must possess a current valid Arizona Driver’s License when hired.
