Job Description

Customer Service Rep - Mount Pleasant, PA

This position provides effective customer service for all Peerless Industrial Group customers, along with internal team members, by utilizing in-depth knowledge of company products & programs. Provide verbal and written support of customers’ needs and requirements while also working closely with appropriate outside sales management team for further development.  Reports to Plant Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in relatable field preferred or as prior sales experience in a factory or manufacturing environment. Ability to efficiently and accurately enter data into multiple systems. Must be able to communicate professionally with the ability to speak, read, write and understand English. Demonstrated knowledgeable experience in Microsoft Office. Experience with JD Edwards software is helpful.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Handle all customer phone orders, inquiries, complaints or problems. 
    • Ensure that all proposals, quotations and customer correspondence is prepared neatly and submitted on time.
    • Expedite customer orders and quotations. 
    • Effectively communicate and interface with all internal and external departments at Peerless.
    • Receive, code and process new customer orders and change orders. Enter into JDE, provide order acknowledgements to customers and appropriate Sales Managers.
    • Coordinate shipping releases.
    • Generate correspondence to secure additional customer information or resolve customer disputes.
    • Work closely with outside sales managers to service customers.
    • Maintain files of all documentation in appropriate systems.
    •  Assist / Back-up with Shipping transactions, all Shipping documentation / paperwork.

    • Regular attendance is an essential element of the job. Unplanned absences have the potential to impair the operation of the department and diminishes the effectiveness of the company.Wage will depend on experience.
