Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Location : Paulding, OH  45879

Travel Required : 0-10%

Job Description :
  • Process all customer orders from multi truck orders to one item shipping UPS. 
  • Handle all customer concerns, questions, and sales personnel inquiries.
  • Communicate with customers and salespersons daily to process orders of BTC product. 
  • Monitor the customer order from start to finish ensuring everything is accurate and on time.
  • Handle all customer concerns and questions about their accounts and resolve any issues that may be occurring. 
  • Work with the Accounts Receivable department and communicate regularly on customer issues.
  • Must have good knowledge of the approved list of customers (approved by Controller) and must tactfully respond to customers if they have been denied approval.  
  • Enter customer orders into the computer module ERP system. Have a good working understanding of ERP system. 
  • Assist Dispatch department as needed.
  • Complete invoicing of BTC product in ERP system daily.
  • Ship all customer UPS orders. 
  • Answer phones and provide customer service in a manner that reflects BTC mission statement and values. .
  • File all paperwork on a daily basis in order to maintain proper customer records and BTC documents. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized office environment, which will result in better customer service. 
  • Ability to look up or access inventory levels in ERP system.
  • Establish a working relationship with area salespersons to further understand the customer’s needs and fulfill their orders. 
  • Understand the different pricing levels for individual salespeople and keep updated pricing records available to service customers. 
  • Memorize the different part numbers of BTC products to more efficiently complete orders. 
  • Possess knowledge of product applications to better understand customer orders and complete them correctly. 
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all BTC products and accessories and also be able to understand our customer’s different terminology for our products in order to provide them with the correct item. 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook and have the ability to operate general office machines such as a phone, fax, scanner, copier, adding machine, etc.

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • REASONING ABILITY:
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.​
