Job Description

Teknicote, a division of BEST Engineered Surface Technologies, is one of the largest contract surface finishing operations in the United States residing in a 50,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility. Teknicotes's facilities provide automatic, semi-automatic, and manual coating services in a vast array of finishes. From a small, deep-drawn brass tube to a large, galvanneal sheet metal telecommunications cabinet. Teknicote can provide a protective, high quality, decorative or functional finish on 1 or 1 million units. In a job-shop environment, our clients require us to deliver quality parts on time from all of our metal finishing operations. We are looking for a Customer Service Representative. In this position, you will act as the liaison between the company and our customers by handling customer complaints, order entry, account questions, billing, cancelations, and/or other queries. You will also be the key customer advocate ensuring customer expectations for delivery are met by manufacturing departments.

 

*In this position, you will be on the floor in Shipping & Receiving and in an office space

·         Managing incoming parts and order entry

·         Outgoing freight and shipments 

 

Shift: 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Training Schedule: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) 

 

Responsibilities:

·       Entering orders into the computer system

·       Greeting customers warmly

·       Tracking orders for customers

·       Generating shipping documents for UPS, Federal Express, and LTL

·       Filing of documents and year-end purges

·       Communicating customer requests and rush orders to the production supervisor

·       Recording customer complaints via phone, email

·       Receiving items utilizing company software

·       Month-end inventory reports

·       Assisting in compliance with ISO9001 (Doc control)

·       All other duties, as assigned

 

Qualifications:

·     Requires 4+ years of job experience in a Customer Service role

·     Must be able to perform basic math calculations

·     Proficient in Microsoft Office products and familiar with the E2 ERP system or other ERP systems

·     Ability to maintain professional communication and customer service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

·     Proven ability to manage time properly in an organized manner to ensure the timely completion of tasks

·     The ability to work with a diverse culture to help ways to improve processes, quality, and safety

·     The ability to exemplify and embrace our BEST values and culture of quality, customer service, safety, and team
