Job Summary
Dalton Utilities is seeking a motivated candidate for the role of Customer Service Representative. In this position, you will assist customers with new service requests, billing inquiries, and service-related concerns while delivering a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist customers with questions regarding billing, deposits, and new service applications
Handle customer complaints and ensure timely, professional resolution
Perform research and follow-up on service orders and customer inquiries
Investigate non-payment accounts, prepare cut-off orders, and process reconnections
Prepare and maintain records such as deposit cards, residency letters, credit letters, and adjustment forms
Communicate effectively with customers, team members, supervisors, and external partners
Operate standard office equipment (computer, printer, copier, etc.)
Cross-train and provide support in other areas (Receptionist, New Construction, Control Center) as needed
Learn and utilize Utility Billing software and system upgrades
Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger motions
Ability to operate office equipment
Strong communication skills
Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and reach for extended periods
Regular hours of this position are 8:00 a.m. ? 5:00 p.m., Monday ? Friday.
Pay Range
$16.85 ? 26.60/hour (includes levels 1-3)
