Job Description

Responsible for providing superior customer service parts support to existing marine and industrial engine distributors while maximizing the sale of required parts. The position requires the individual demonstrate the ability support distributor sales efforts via the telephone and internet while consistently improving the quality and performance of assigned customers. Multi-tasking and familiarity with parts look-up and order processing a must.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Understand customer requirements & effectively communicates the best possible solution

·         Answer customer parts inquires

·         Expedite & track delivery schedules on sales & purchase orders.

·         Perform other duties as assigned by MTEA management

·         Manage parts discrepancy claims with customer & supplier

·         Manage international & special account orders from start to finish

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Technical aptitude and basic understanding of engines & the related parts
  • At least three years of customer service experience
  • Experience in the automotive or diesel engine market is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP system & customer account management tools
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail & organizational skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to occasionally move and or lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to sit throughout the workday.
