The Product Support Salesperson is responsible for performing general and specific sales of parts, service, and maintenance programs and selected warehouse products to the highest industry standards.
Salary + Commission
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties as assigned:
- Prepare professional sales quotes, with accurate pricing and required background materials to sell parts, service and selected warehouse products.
- Secure proper authorization from Management for quotes and non-standard transactions
- Actively prospect geographical territory for new customers, this will require regular “cold calling”.
- Consistent contact with existing customer base to secure Service Contracts and parts business.
- Provide service to all customers regardless of territorial location, provide leads for all J.M. services and products
- Parts delivery and pick up as needed or requested
- Manage all equipment deliveries of equipment to help secure service contracts
- Educate customers on operation, charging and maintenance of all equipment
- Assist Rental Department and Collections Department as needed
- Participate in Saturday Service Department staffing responsibilities
- Accountability to management in the form of daily activities, call sheets, prospecting, goal setting and minimum performance standards as stated in the salesman’s agreement.
- Accurately manage customer list, maintain and build database.
Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Intermediate computer skills required
- Rudimentary knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures, and internal combustion engine design.
Physical Requirements: must be able to meet the following physical demands
- Walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, kneel, twist, and lifting requirement to a maximum of 75 lbs.
Other Requirements:
- Forklift Certified (or ability to be certified)
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Ability to work independently
- Good Communication and Customer Service Skills
