Job Description

Holt of California is proud to be part of the elite group of Caterpillar dealers worldwide. We sell, rent and service a wide-variety of equipment Including Large and Small Construction Tractors, Forklifts, and Prime/Stand-by-Power Generation.

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN  SALIDA, CA.

SUMMARY

Drive sales in the territory for product support and service with Holt Ag Solutions. Working with the Service Managers, Parts Managers, Marketing Department and Regional Manager to coordinate programs and activities that will increase parts and service sales. Also, must be able to work with AGCO to set up marketing programs and communicate market place problems. Must be able to interact with customers by performing the following duties:

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Initiates marketing programs to increase business.

· Travel within the territory and meets with conquest and current customers.

· Utilizes DBS, CRM, Sales Link and PCs to analyze market opportunity, sales and set sales goals.

· Actively uses Holt Ag Solutions mail/machine pop/customer list to target customers

· Works with parts and service to prepare quotes for service work, major parts sales and CSA agreeements.

· Evaluates customer operations to provide better parts and service support.

· Reviews lost sales to determine marketplace and pricing.

· Makes regular sales calls with Account Managers to customer sites.

· Works with credit department to ensure satisfied customers and protect company interests.

· Assist with compiling list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from internal sources, newspapers, business directories, and other sources.

· Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.

· Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma. Some college focused on sales, agriculture, or marketing desired. Experience in sales and cold calling desired.

Must have experience with computers including PC programs.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Must have the ability to travel within the territory.

· Ability to identify customer needs.

· Ability to cold call on customers and communicate effectively.

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and manufacturers.

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.

· Must possess well developed communication skills, both oral and written.

· Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

· Ability to conduct oneself in a manner that is professional and business-like at all times.

· Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and versatile with a willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid California driver’s license and a clean DMV driving report.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high precarious places.

The employee will be working in facilities and on job sites that may have loud machinery and/or equipment noises.

The employee will be driving from customer to customer more than 50% of the time.

COMPENSATION

Wage Range $68,000 to $76,000 Annually PLUS Commission

Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
