Job description
The Card Services Data Analyst partners with new clients to convert existing credit card portfolios onto Fiserv processing platforms. This team includes project managers, data analysts, and conversion programmers who review client data files, build reports, and use custom tools to analyze data, develop, and present technical conversion specifications, execute conversion programs and processes, and support testing and load activities. This role offers the opportunity to work across business and technical functions, applying analytical and technical skills, payments industry knowledge, and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
In this role, you will:
• Lead technical data mapping analysis for credit card portfolio conversions onto Fiserv processing platforms
• Own end-to-end delivery of data conversion deliverables across the project lifecycle (initiation through closure)
• Design and document complex technical requirements for business applications and conversion processes
• Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into appropriate technical solutions
• Create, maintain, and present data conversion mapping specifications and supporting documentation
• Execute and enforce quality controls for conversion outputs, including defined quality inspections and validations
• Validate offline system testing and output testing of data conversion files; investigate variances and drive resolution
• Debug complex code and conversion processes to identify root cause and implement corrective actions
• Plan for and participate in mocks, testing cycles, and other client events in coordination with clients and Fiserv partners
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with clients, product owners, application development teams, and program management colleagues
• Adhere to internal processes, governance controls, and best practices; contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Monitor, track, and report project progress, milestones, and deliverable status to appropriate audiences
• Proactively identify risks and issues; manage mitigation plans and escalate appropriately to ensure on-time delivery
Qualifications for Consideration:
• 4 Year college degree required. Focus in CIS/MIS, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics, preferred
• 5 + years of experience in COBOL, Mainframe applications, IBM JCL, and TSO/TPX
• 5 + years of experience in previous IT or Business Analysis experience. Credit card issuing experience preferred.
• Experience with Optis production programs and processes preferred
• Proficient in MS Office suite with heightened focus on VBA, Access, Excel, and SQL.
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience in client-facing roles
• Confident meeting facilitator
• Experience in stakeholder management
• Understanding of the Issuing Industry and associated business function
• Experience in converting to new processing platforms, preferred
• Ability to determine estimates of effort and impacts on a variety of solutions
