Job Description

Cognicion LLC, a boutique eDiscovery services and information management provider is actively recruiting a motivated Data Analyst Intern to assist internal teams through day-to-day support of the tools, applications, processes, and requirements for internal data management infrastructure and/or eDiscovery technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  1. Collaborates and works with internal teams to understand current use of company eDiscovery data collection and review platforms.
  2. Performs tasks under supervision of other data team members related to exporting data from databases, including identifying/ensuring validity of data for export, confirming redactions and other markups, and ensuring data export complies with agreed upon production specifications.
  3. Assists in verifying the accuracy of data loading, manipulation, and conversion by performing quality testing. Identifies deficiencies, communicates to responsible parties, and makes recommendations to remediate issues.
  4. Provides research, analysis, and recommendations for future state technology infrastructure and eDiscovery platform questions.
  5. Assists in ensuring viability of data workflows, including data intake, data processing and migration, productions, etc.
  6. Demonstrates organizational skills and effective use of time e.g., ability to plan daily work, set priorities and manage time to ensure work is timely and efficiently completed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma.
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • Expected graduation between June 2026 and June 2028.
  • Strong academic achievement; a GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
  • Coursework, internship experience, or exposure to data management, data analysis, database concepts, quality assurance, or eDiscovery workflows preferred.
  • Prior experience working in an eDiscovery field preferred.
