Job Description

Support the creation of a new automated warehouse by building, monitoring, and supporting all technical aspects of the maintenance function in accordance with all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the installation, commissioning, and upgrading of automated material handling equipment and warehouse control system ensuring vendors and contractors meet design specifications
Develop and implement Preventative Maintenance Program for automated equipment/systems
Monitor system layouts, schematics, field wiring, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Warehouse Control System (WCS), servers, and other automation components
Determine root cause of defective automated equipment and systems and implement solutions that address the issue(s)
Improve spare parts usage by actively managing inventory in corresponding software
Assist in resolving emergency breakdowns with minimal downtime
Plan, coordinate, and monitor completion of capital projects; to include pursuing opportunities for cost reduction and profit improvement

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
5 years’ experience in automated warehouse facility
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud
