Environment Control is seeking a dependable and motivated Day Janitorial Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations and support janitorial staff across multiple accounts. This position is responsible for ensuring high cleaning standards, training employees, conducting inspections, and maintaining excellent customer service relationships.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, bilingual preferred, and able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. The Day Janitorial Supervisor will assist with scheduling, supply deliveries, employee coaching, and coverage for open shifts when needed.
Requirements
Position Requirements
- Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Prior supervisor or team lead experience preferred
- Ability to manage and motivate cleaning staff
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel between multiple job sites throughout the day
- Must be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to train employees on cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Experience with inspections, quality control, and customer service
- Ability to handle scheduling changes and employee call-offs
- Knowledge of janitorial equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical cleaning tasks when needed
- Basic computer and smartphone skills for communication, scheduling, and timekeeping apps
- Must pass background check and drug screening if required
Summary
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support janitorial staff during daytime operations
- Conduct site inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching
- Deliver supplies and equipment to accounts as needed
- Communicate with clients regarding service concerns and resolutions
- Assist with coverage for call-offs or special projects
- Ensure employees are clocking in/out properly and following company policies
- Maintain positive working relationships with staff and customers
- Report operational issues to management promptly
