ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Takes calls daily from customers internal and external.
- Reviews payment lists, maintains departmental files and prepares and posts debits, credits and other payments as well as posting charge offs, recoveries and booking REO's as needed.
- Ensures payments are properly credited or applied to customer accounts and in financial institution records.
- Prepares and monitors reports on status of all past due delinquent accounts and collection activities. Contacts customers regarding delinquent account.
- Tracks legal documentation, communicate with third parties in regards to legal activities on bankruptcies, foreclosures and other default matters.
- Scanning loan documentation and file room operations.
- Provide the best service to our customers with innovative and creative solutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills, including verbal, phone, and written communication.
- Ability to deal with time constraints, difficult conversations with customers and strong attention to detail.
- Successful completion of in house training program (if available) or approved outside training program.
- Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
- Solid understanding of financial institution policies and procedures.
- Two years of experience working in a loan related field preferred.
- Collections experience a plus.
- Ability to deal with time constraints and strong attention to detail.
- Extended hours sitting and performing computer tasks may be required.
