Day to day as a Delivery Driver Helper

As a Driver Helper at Upper Lakes Foods, you'll be the dynamic right-hand partner to our Delivery Driver, ensuring that every delivery runs smoothly and safely. Your day will be filled with exciting responsibilities, from assisting with inventory coordination and truck unloading to completing essential safety checks that keep our operations top-notch. You’ll play a key role in facilitating efficient deliveries while spreading a spirit of positivity and excellence. Above all, your mission is to shine in customer service at every stop, creating memorable experiences that highlight our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Are you a good fit for this Delivery Driver Helper job?

To thrive as a Driver Helper, you'll need a blend of physical stamina and teamwork skills. Being comfortable in cooler and freezer environments is essential, as you will be supporting the Delivery Driver in unloading products using a two-wheel cart and truck ramps. Your ability to maintain professional relationships and communicate effectively will help build a strong partnership with the delivery team.

Regular attendance and punctuality are crucial for keeping our deliveries on schedule, and you’ll perform various duties, including inventory management and adhering to safety protocols. Familiarity with basic warehouse and delivery operations will give you a leg up, alongside a willingness to learn on the job. Physical tasks will include lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, with some items exceeding 60 pounds, so being in good shape is important. This position works during third-shift hours, typically late evening through early or late morning.
