Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Dispatch times typically occur between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM
  • Routes generally consist of 10–12 hour shifts
  • Schedule and dispatch times may vary based on business needs

Main Ingredients of the Job

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place products in designated customer storage areas
  • Date, stock, and rotate perishable products upon delivery in designated customer storage locations
  • Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance the customer experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20–80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required

What You Bring to the Table

  • Register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six (6) months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three (3) months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language, including understanding highway traffic signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, and completing reports and records

FMCSA CLEARINGHOUSE REQUIREMENT

Registering with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement of the Department of Transportation. All drivers are required to register with the Clearinghouse database. The Clearinghouse provides real-time information about commercial driver's license (CDL) and commercial learner's permit (CLP) holders' drug and alcohol program violations. PAY TRANSPARENCY STATEMENT (REQUIRED)

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.

The expected base rate for this role is between $30.00 and $36.00 per hour.

This role will also receive:
