Base Salary Range: $94,300.00  -  $118,200.00
Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills and other factors. Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility.

The Demand Planner owns and delivers an accurate, data-driven demand forecast across baseline, promotional, and new product activities, continuously refining plans based on market performance and insights. 
Acting as a critical and collaborative link between Commercial and Supply Chain, the role leads demand inputs into the S&OP process, ensuring alignment with financial, sales, and marketing plans to support business growth objectives.

Your Tasks

 

  • Own S&OP, promotional, new product, and baseline demand forecasting, incorporating customer activities, distribution changes, and marketing support.
  • Adjust short-term forecasts weekly based on actual sales and service levels to provide the most accurate demand plan for Supply Planning.
  • Participate in annual sales meetings and Sales Roll-Ups to gather market intelligence and refine forecasts.
  • Act as the key link between Commercial and Supply Chain teams, providing data-driven insights and challenging assumptions to build accurate and executable demand plans.
  • Align demand forecasts with financial, sales, marketing, and S&OP consensus plans to support business growth objectives.
  • Partner with Supply Planning through the BAP process to identify stock shortage risks and develop action plans that maximize service levels at the lowest cost.
  • Maintain planning systems and master data, including history corrections, product phase-in/phase-out management, and forecast profile assignments.
  • Manage LOR (Left Over Report) reduction initiatives with VAS and CoE teams to minimize waste and financial loss.

Forecasting & S&OP

  • Lead OMP Demand Planning activities and present forecast data during monthly S&OP meetings to drive consensus and business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to reconcile forecasts using large and complex datasets.
  • Manage and maintain:
    • Statistical Forecast enrichment using market and customer insights.
    • New Product Forecasting, with full ownership of launch demand plans.
    • Launch volume assumptions, considering seasonality, displays, samples, and activation plans.
    • VAS promotions and promotional forecasting to accurately identify promotional uplift.

Inventory & Supply Management

  • Deliver the most accurate demand forecast to support inventory optimization and financial targets.
  • Analyze forecast performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with CoE, Analytics, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing teams to resolve forecast changes, mitigate supply risks, and reduce lost sales.
  • Support stock allocation decisions and prioritization during supply constraints.
  • Provide guidance on strategic launch safety stock levels.
  • Manage critical stock, Deval, and closeout processes.
  • Support relaunch activities, material determination requests, and product exit processes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Facilitate forecast alignment with Demand Analysts.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices across functions.
  • Manage eCommerce demand complexity and forecast volatility.
  • Develop subject matter expertise and support organizational capability building.

Change Management & Leadership

  • Drive and support change initiatives, including new tools, processes, and ways of working.

Your Profile

  • MBA, preferably with a specialization in Supply Chain Management, with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in demand planning, sales forecasting, or comprehensive end-to-end supply chain operations
  • Expertise, ideally in a Consumer Package Goods Industry
  • Must have experience effectively collaborating and influencing others
  • Must posses excellent analytical skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in project management required
  • Must have strong knowledge of supply chain concepts, including how demand/supply planning impacts other areas of the business
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast paced, lean organization and be very organized and detail oriented
  • Must have experience achieving cost efficiency KPIs
  • Must have OMP demand planning software experience
  • Experience utilizing ERP software such as SAP and Business Intelligence a plus
  • Experience with statistical forecasting programs is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Power BI is required
  • Must be able to travel abroad for training, seminars and projects
