Requirements Summary:High school diploma or equivalent; completion of dental assisting program or 6 months experience; Georgia DA license or ability to obtain; CPR and TB screening required; expanded duty and dental x‑ray certification preferred; ability to pass drug screen and background check.

We are currently seeking a full time Dental Assistant to join our team at the Hancock State Prison, located in Sparta, Georgia.

The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision, assisting the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Additional responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, preparing and maintaining the dental operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and additional administrative tasks as needed.
