Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow, as well as patient comfort and understanding.
  • Prepare and maintain the treatment areas for all clinical staff, including sterilizing instruments and ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques.
  • Take dental radiographs as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as needed, including patient check-in, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow.
  • Educate patients on post-operative care and general oral hygiene practices.
  • Collaborate with the entire dental team to ensure efficient operations within the clinic.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completed dental assistant program or relevant certification.
  • Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
  • CPR, BLS, and X-Ray certified.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members alike.
  • Ability to follow directions and take feedback.
  • Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
