About Us

The Smile Lodge Pediatric Dentistry is a fun, fast-paced, team-oriented dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional care for children in a positive, supportive environment. We’re looking for reliable, hard-working, and motivated individuals to join our amazing Dental Assisting team at our East Greenbush location!

 

No dental experience? No problem! We offer on-the-job training so you can learn everything you need to succeed.

Schedule: Full-Time, 4 x 10-hour shifts
Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Assist pediatric dentists and dental hygienists during routine hygiene visits and preventive procedures, anticipating provider needs to ensure efficient, seamless appointments
  • Prepare, maintain, sterilize, and organize treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment in accordance with OSHA and infection control standards
  • Escort patients and families throughout their visit, creating a welcoming, engaging, and child-friendly experience from check-in through check-out
  • Obtain and document consents, diagnostic records, radiographs, clinical findings, and treatment information accurately and thoroughly
  • Educate and support patients and parents by reinforcing treatment recommendations, preventive care instructions, and next-visit needs in a clear and compassionate manner
  • Monitor patient concerns, communicate relevant information to the dentist or hygienist, and help ensure continuity of care
  • Contribute to smooth daily operations by maintaining appointment flow, engaging patients during wait times, and supporting an exceptional patient and family experience
  • Maintain current CPR/BLS certification and comply with all safety, regulatory, and practice policies and procedures
