What You'll Do

As a Dental Assistant at NMHSI, you'll be a key part of delivering excellent, patient-centered care.  Your day-to -day work will include:

  • Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures

  • Assist Dentists and Hygienists during exams and treatments

  • Sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection control standards

  • Taking diagnostic x-rays and recording medical/dental histories 

  • Educating patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care

  • Maintain accurate patient records 

  • Supporting scheduling and insurance processes

  • Helping ensure dental equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained.  

What we're looking for

  • At least 1 year of Dental Assistant experience 
  • Patient-focused, compassionate approach to care  
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and professionalism
