Description
DAYS: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic.
- Monitor and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
- Assist with endodontic procedures, ensuring all materials are prepared and available for use.
- Utilize 3D scanning technology for impressions when necessary.
- Provide support in managing patient flow and scheduling appointments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting, with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
- Familiarity with endodontics is a plus.
- Ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately.
- Experience with 3D scanners is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training is preferred.
