This position will be responsible but not limited to the following:
• Operation of digital intraoral and extraoral dental imaging equipment including Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) technology.
• Assist with calibrations and inspections of radiation generating equipment.
• Develop and maintain infection control practices for radiographic imaging of patients in the clinical environment.
• Maintain inventory of all imaging equipment in Ross Hall
• Develop and maintain inventory of preclinical laboratory supplies
• Maintain dosimeter monitoring badges and reports
• Maintain training records for the school’s Radiation Safety Program
• Provide new staff, resident and faculty orientation in the use of imaging equipment, image acquisition, radiation safety, quality assurance and infection control for imaging equipment
• Provide preclinical and clinical orientation to students
• Supervise and assess students’ clinical performance in image acquisition, radiation safety and image quality assurance.
• Generate data in the preparation for radiologic research
• Interact with vendors to evaluate new supplies and radiographic equipment
• Assist with the recruitment of imaging staff
