Position Summary

American Clean Power is seeking a Digital Content Coordinator for our PowerVote program. The Digital Content Coordinator will help to scale a cutting-edge approach to grassroots advocacy.   

This is a temporary, project-based position supporting ACP's grassroots advocacy efforts during the Fall 2026 campaign cycle. Individuals in this role will be employed and paid through ACP's third-party staffing partner.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

Content Development 

  • Drafting, editing, producing, scheduling, and sending advocacy and engagement emails and texts. 
  • Creating and editing online copy including social media content, website content, and paid content. Producing graphics and videos for social media, email, and other mediums. 
  • Capitalizing on rapid response opportunities to raise awareness around key advocacy issues. 
  • Capturing on-the-ground content on the Hill, at ACP conferences and alongside our field organizing program. From time to time filming direct to camera explainers. 
  • Collaborating with other departments to execute digital needs. 

Reporting Systems 

  • Building and maintaining a monthly content calendar. Communicating the schedule to internal partners. 
  • Monitoring developments on social media and tracking key performance indicators across digital platforms. 
  • Moving content through the internal approvals process to secure buy-in and compliance while maintaining efficacy.  

Qualifications

  • Prior digital experience, either on a campaign, at a political organization, or at a firm.  
  • Excellent writing skills for multiple platforms including email, website, social, etc. 
  • A deep understanding of how to leverage social media. 
  • Experience creating digital content, including graphics, video, photography, and social media content preferred. Basic CRM experience. 
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics driven work environment. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure while handling multiple projects. 
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings. 
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed to support program activities. 

Job Conditions

We are a fast-paced, high-energy organization with a very ambitious agenda and a staff that is highly motivated. This position may experience high-level work demands and independent decision-making under tight timelines. Occasional travel to or outside of the Washington, DC area for meetings or events may be required. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. ACP will not sponsor applicants for work visas.   

We reasonably believe that the hourly compensation range for this position is $31.25 - $36.05 per hour. At ACP, a wide range of factors are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, education, knowledge, and other business and organizational needs. 

This is a temporary, project-based position supporting ACP's grassroots advocacy efforts during the Fall 2026 campaign cycle. Temporary project-based positions are not eligible for ACP-sponsored employee benefits.
