Job Description

Reports To: Director of Marketing and Communications

Classification: Full Time – Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Digital Media Coordinator supports the Advancement Team by creating and distributing digital content that tells the story of Crosslines Community Outreach. Through photography, videography, social media management, and digital content creation, this position helps increase awareness of the organization's mission, programs, events, and impact.

Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Digital Media Coordinator executes content strategies that engage donors, volunteers, community partners, and the public while maintaining a consistent and professional brand presence across digital platforms.

Key Performance Objectives:

  • Produce professional photo and video content that showcases the impact of Crosslines’ programs. 
  • Increase community awareness and engagement through strategic digital storytelling.
  • Grow social media reach, engagement, and followers according to annual organizational goals.
  • Maintain a consistent, recognizable brand across all digital platforms.
  • Support fundraising, volunteer recruitment, advocacy, and community engagement through engaging multimedia content.
  • Ensure timely coverage of organizational events, programs, and community partnerships.
  • Crafting engaging social media posts, articles, and videos that highlight the latest stories of the organization. 
  • Collaborating with our in-house marketing team to deliver authentic, and informative content that reflects our brand and furthers our mission. 
  • Manages our social media platforms, interacting with followers, and responding to comments and messages. 
  • Increase social media reach year over year based on organizational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Digital Content Creation

  • Capture professional photography and videography at organizational programs, events, and community activities.
  • Plan, record, edit, and publish video and photo content for social media, website, print publications, media distribution, and presentations.
  • Edit photos and videos to align with Crosslines’ brand standards.
  • Organize and maintain digital photo and video libraries.

Social Media

  • Brainstorm, pitch, and execute social media content and maintain a consistent publishing schedule.
  • Manage Crosslines’ social media platforms by scheduling, publishing, and monitoring content.
  • Engage professionally with followers by responding to comments and messages when appropriate. 
  • Stay informed on current social media trends and platform best practices.
  • Monitor social media performance and engagement metrics.
  • Report social media analytics to the organization through monthly dashboards, executive leadership inquiries, etc. 

Marketing and Communications Support

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to execute marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Work with program staff to identify stories, events, and accomplishments suitable for public communication and storytelling. 
  • Provide digital assets to external organizations and media outlets in a timely and professional manner when requested.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, electronic media, videography or a related field. 
  • Equivalent combinations of education, internships, freelance experience, and demonstrated skills will be considered.
  • A portfolio demonstrating photography, videography, and editing experience is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience creating engaging digital content through photography and videography.
  • Working knowledge of the complete video production process, including planning, recording, editing, and publishing. 
  • Proficiency with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro. 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop and Lightroom; experience with After Effects is a plus.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and current best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with guests, volunteers, staff, and community partners.
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and the ability to use data to improve future content.

Work Hours:

CCO offers flexible scheduling options for staff, allowing them to choose between a typical Monday through Friday schedule with five eight-hour days or a modified schedule with four nine-hour days and a half-day on Fridays.

Occasionally, work-related needs may require different schedules, including evening or weekend hours. Supervisors will regularly discuss schedules to ensure coverage of needs, and employees must always obtain prior approval from their supervisor to change their schedule.
