Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director, Finance & Accounting to establish and lead our Finance & Accounting Center of Excellence (CoE) in Bangalore. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing global accounting operations, building scalable finance processes, and partnering closely with U.S. headquarters and international subsidiaries.
This role offers high visibility, direct collaboration with global leadership teams, and the opportunity to shape finance operations in a fast-growing global technology company.
Key Responsibilities
Build & Lead Finance CoE
- Establish and scale global finance and accounting processes.
- Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance team of 3–5 members.
- Drive automation initiatives and process improvement across finance operations.
- Ensure strong internal controls, governance, and documentation standards.
Global Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Manage customer onboarding and credit review processes.
- Oversee global invoicing and accounts receivable operations.
- Drive collections management and revenue support coordination.
Global Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Oversee vendor onboarding and invoice processing workflows.
- Manage domestic and international payment operations.
- Ensure effective accounts payable management and process compliance.
Month-End Close & Reporting
- Manage general ledger accounting and journal entries.
- Handle accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely financial reporting.
International Subsidiary Management
- Coordinate statutory compliance and reporting for international entities across Germany, India, and Thailand.
- Support local GAAP compliance, tax filings, and regulatory requirements.
Consolidation & Global Reporting
- Manage intercompany eliminations and foreign exchange (FX) translation activities.
- Support financial consolidation into the U.S. parent entity under U.S. GAAP standards.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA – India) qualification is mandatory.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance operations.
- Prior experience with top-tier audit/assurance firms is required.
- Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and global accounting practices.
- Proven experience hiring, leading, and developing finance teams.
- Strong understanding of accounting controls, compliance, and financial reporting processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Comfortable working in overlapping U.S. business hours.
