Director of Financial Analysis

POSITION SUMMARY


Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking a Director of Financial Analysis to join the leadership team. The Director of Financial Analysis is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving key revenue reporting, sales analysis, operational performance reporting, and financial insights used to drive business decisions across the organization.


This role will serve as the primary database and reporting contact for revenue, with an initial focus on sales performance, guest traffic, check averages, group events, karting revenue, arcade performance, and other revenue optimization opportunities. The Director of Financial Analysis will partner closely with Operations, Finance, IT, Marketing, Training, and executive leadership to provide accurate reporting, clear analysis, and actionable recommendations.


In addition, this role will oversee the Training function, ensuring training initiatives, reporting, and operational development programs are aligned with company goals, performance expectations, and continued growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Analysis, Sales Reporting, and Revenue Optimization
  • Maintain the Daily Sales file and distribute the Daily Sales Report on a daily basis.
  • Maintain the Site Information tab in the Daily Sales file, as well as site information used in period and quarterly business review decks.
  • Maintain the Honeymoon sales analysis for new locations and post-opening performance tracking.
  • Create and maintain a Daily Transaction file to analyze guest traffic, transaction counts, and check averages in a format consistent with the Daily Sales file.
  • Create and maintain day-of-week sales analysis for use in period and quarterly business reviews.
  • Create and maintain daypart sales analysis for use in period and quarterly business reviews.
  • Maintain and improve the Group Events tracker for use in the Daily Sales Report, period decks, quarterly decks, and investor/lender reporting.
  • Send Group Events tracker updates and projections each Thursday to the internal Operations team and external investors/lenders.
  • Validate the Weekly Sales Summary against the Daily Sales file and distribute the report each Thursday to the internal Operations team and external investors/lenders.
  • Create and maintain track session analysis to support optimization of karting revenue, capacity utilization, pricing strategies, and overall track performance.
  • Create and maintain arcade sales analysis to optimize arcade revenue and identify opportunities for game upgrades, replacements, and capital investments.
  • Coordinate with the IT Subject Matter Expert on Price/Volume reporting to validate reporting accuracy and provide financial narrative for executive presentations and business reviews.
  • Partner with Marketing to perform ad hoc analysis evaluating promotional effectiveness, campaign performance, and revenue-driving initiatives.
  • Provide financial analysis for inclusion in monthly, quarterly, and annual business review presentations.
  • Serve as the primary database and reporting contact for all revenue-related reporting and analytics.
  • Perform ad hoc financial and operational analysis to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and revenue optimization initiatives.
Training Leadership
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the Company's Training function.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to ensure training programs support operational excellence, leadership development, compliance, and company growth.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through reporting and performance metrics while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support reporting related to training completion, onboarding, operational readiness, and new store openings.
  • Ensure training initiatives align with company priorities, operational standards, and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Lead and develop the Training team while fostering a culture of accountability, consistency, and continuous learning.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
 
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Marketing, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership to provide meaningful business insights.
  • Translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive profitability and operational performance.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across locations, departments, and revenue categories.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting for senior leadership, ownership, investors, and lenders.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes, dashboards, automation, and business intelligence tools.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of financial and operational reporting.
  • Lead strategic projects and special analyses supporting company growth and operational excellence.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
STRONGLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of progressive finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), business analytics, or revenue analysis experience, with at least three (3) years in a leadership role. Experience in a mid-market or private equity-backed environment is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required. MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills are required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, and other ERP or business intelligence platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing executive-level dashboards, reporting packages, financial models, and business performance analysis.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Executive Leadership, Operations, Marketing, Information Technology, and Human Resources.
  • Experience leading and developing teams, preferably including oversight of training, organizational development, or operational support functions.
