Job Description

Director of Product Marketing | DOPE Marketing

Location: Remote / Hybrid

Reports To: Director of Sales

Works Directly With: Director of Growth and Marketing

Department: Marketing / Product

ABOUT DOPE MARKETING

DOPE Marketing is a direct mail marketing SaaS platform. Our platform, Dope 360, empowers small businesses to launch automated, data-driven direct mail campaigns that generate real, measurable leads. We print in-house, ship nationwide, and integrate directly with the CRMs our customers already use.

We're growing fast, and we need a product marketing leader who can bridge the gap between what we build and how customers experience it.

THE ROLE

The Director of Product Marketing owns the go-to-market strategy for every feature, product update, and platform enhancement across Dope 360. This is not a brand marketing or top-of-funnel role — this is the person responsible for making sure our current customers know what we've built, understand why it matters, and actually use it.

You will report directly to our Director of Sales and work hand-in-hand with Marketing team members to align product development timelines with marketing execution. You'll be the connective tissue between engineering, sales, account management, and the customer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Feature Rollout & Go-to-Market Execution

• Own the end-to-end launch process for all Dope 360 feature releases — from internal enablement through customer-facing rollout

• Build and maintain a feature release calendar in coordination with the Director of Growth and Marketing and the product/engineering team

• Develop launch playbooks that include messaging, positioning, email sequences, in-app announcements, and sales enablement materials

• Coordinate cross-functional launch efforts across sales, account management, support, and design

Current SaaS Customer Outreach & Engagement

• Design and execute ongoing communication strategies for the active Dope 360 subscriber base

• Develop segmented campaigns to drive feature adoption, upsells, and tier upgrades (DOPE → DOPER → DOPEST)

• Create educational content — product tours, how-to guides, video walkthroughs, webinars — that reduce churn and increase platform stickiness

• Partner with the Sales and Marketing team to ensure product marketing materials support retention and expansion conversations

Dope 360 Product Marketing (Full Ownership)

• Serve as the internal and external authority on Dope 360 positioning, messaging, and value props

• Maintain up-to-date product marketing collateral — feature pages, comparison sheets, case studies, ROI calculators

• Translate technical product capabilities into clear, compelling customer-facing language

• Ensure all customer touchpoints (website, emails, help center, in-app messaging) reflect current platform capabilities

Automated Marketing Workflows

• Build and optimize automated lifecycle marketing workflows — onboarding sequences, feature announcement drips, re-engagement campaigns, and milestone-based triggers

• Leverage CRM data (HubSpot) and platform usage signals to create behavior-driven campaigns that reach the right customer at the right time

• Continuously test, measure, and iterate on automation performance (open rates, click-through, feature adoption, churn impact)

Churned Customer Reactivation

• Own the win-back strategy for churned Dope 360 customers

• Develop targeted reactivation campaigns built around new features, promotions, limited-time incentives, and platform improvements launched since their departure

• Segment churned customers by reason for leaving, tenure, spend level, and vertical to personalize outreach

• Track reactivation rates and revenue recovered as a core KPI

• Collaborate with the retention team to ensure reactivation messaging aligns with save offers and current promotions

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 5+ years of product marketing experience, ideally in B2B SaaS

• Proven track record of launching features and driving adoption within an existing customer base

• Deep experience building automated email/lifecycle marketing workflows

• Strong writing skills — you can turn a product spec into a customer-facing announcement that people actually read

• Comfort working cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams

• Data-driven mindset — you measure what matters and use results to optimize

Preferred

• Familiarity with direct mail, print marketing, or physical product fulfillment

• Experience with churn reduction and win-back campaigns

• Background working closely with product/engineering leadership on roadmap prioritization

• Experience with CRM-triggered marketing automation at scale

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In the first 90 days, you will:

• Audit the current state of product communication across all customer touchpoints

• Map the Dope 360 feature set and identify gaps in customer awareness and adoption

• Build the first version of a repeatable feature launch playbook

• Launch at least one feature rollout campaign end-to-end

• Develop the initial churned customer reactivation sequence

• Establish reporting dashboards for feature adoption, campaign performance, and reactivation metrics

Ongoing KPIs:

• Feature adoption rate among active subscribers

• Customer engagement with product communications (open rate, click-through, in-app actions)

• Churn reduction attributable to product marketing efforts

• Churned customer reactivation rate and recovered revenue

• Time-to-awareness for new feature launches (how quickly the base knows about new capabilities)

• Upsell/tier upgrade conversion rate

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Competitive base salary

• Direct access to company leadership

• Opportunity to define and own the product marketing function from the ground up

• Fast-moving environment where your work has immediate, visible impact
