Position Summary:
The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the successful operation of, program implementation of, and staffing of 245G Residential, co-occurring treatment facility. The Director of Clinical Services is required to abide by and assure compliance of all 245G and related rules, and assure client-welfare in the residential treatment setting.
Primary Responsibilities:
Duties including, but not limited to, the following:
- Create an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the organization’s mission, vision and values.
- Model organizational values to meet the needs of employees, clients, families and their communities.
- Provide overall leadership and direction to employees in residential treatment.
- Lead, hire, onboard, and manage employees.
- Provide recognition and feedback to employees, including addressing performance that does not meet expectations in a respectful and timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with staff, volunteers, clients, visitors, as well as business leaders, external agencies, etc.
- Supervision of Management staff; recruit, train, hire, and evaluate.
- Manage compliance of 245G licensed residential facility.
- Manage compliance of licensed daycare within residential facility
- Manage client welfare and implementation of best-practice approaches in 245G facility.
- Maintain ethical standards for the profession.
- Responsible for process and program improvement for residential treatment.
- Participate on the management team.
- Serve as the designated responsible staff person for day-to-day operation of the program.
- Ensure that all staff adhere to Recovering Hope Treatment Center policy and procedures in accordance with 245G.
- Ensure appropriate training is provided, received, and completed, for staff in 245G residential facility.
- Facilitate weekly multidisciplinary staff meetings, or delegates.
- Provide and assure appropriate direct services are provided to clients when needed, including assessment, treatment/aftercare planning, individual and group counseling, and monitoring/evaluating client progress.
- Assure clients are receiving the appropriate treatment services, including program hours, best practice approaches, and scheduling.
- Facilitate counseling and psychoeducational groups if needed.
- Address client grievances and concerns.
- Maintain accurate, timely and complete records, including but not limited to: grievances, incident reports, personnel files, personnel notes, and clinical notes.
- Maintain on-going communication with referral sources, and interested community stakeholders.
- Role model behavior, which is consistent with and supportive to people in recovery from chemical dependency.
- Follow all applicable ethical standards for the profession.
- Keep up-to-date with the relevant state and federal laws, specifically 45 CFR 160, 162, and 164; 42 CFR Part 2; and the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (Minnesota Statutes 13).
- Be on-call as scheduled.
- Assist in program planning, implementation and evaluate
- Train and/or supervise interns as needed.
- Follow all 245G regulations, including, but not limited to, maintaining client confidentiality, mandated reporting, and documentation and maintaining records.
- Provide crisis intervention/evaluation as needed.
- Work with and collaborate with concerned persons (family members, friends, other professionals).
- Complete necessary professional development in Substance Use Disorders and Co-Occurring Disorders.
General
- Work as a member of the broader team of the Center to ensure a high level of service to our clients.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Licensure by the State of Minnesota for Alcohol and Drug Counselor in good standing.
- Has three or more years of experience providing individual and group counseling to individuals with substance use disorder.
- Know and understand the implications of chapter 245G, chapter 245A, and sections 626.556, 626.557 and 626.5572.
- 2-5 years previous Management experience preferred.
- Master’s degree in a behavioral health field preferred.
