Description

 The Director of Supportive Communities provides leadership and oversight for City Care’s supportive housing communities across multiple geographies. This leader ensures each community delivers high-quality, trauma-informed, housing-first services that promote stability, dignity, and belonging. The Director is responsible for program operations, team leadership, partnership development, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen resident outcomes and support organizational goals. 

Requirements
  •  Partner with property management team to maintain safe, compliant, high-quality housing environments. 
  •  Monitor occupancy, turnover, lease compliance, arrears, and housing stability indicators. 
  •  Coordinate responses to resident concerns, community issues, and housing-related crises. 
  • Ensure communities remain safe, welcoming, and resident-centered. 
  • Develop and manage program budgets. 
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure responsible stewardship of resources. 
  • Participate in grant planning and budget development for new initiatives. 
  • Report on and analyze program and resident outcome data and KPIs to drive decision-making. 
  • Promote resident engagement, leadership, and community-building activities. 

Program Leadership & Operations 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and performance of City Care’s supportive housing communities in Oklahoma City. 
  • Ensure programs operate in accordance with best practices in permanent supportive housing, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care. 
  • Implement policies, procedures, and standards that support program quality, resident safety, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Monitor program performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely reporting, outcome tracking, and compliance with funder requirements. 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Directly supervise site-level staff and provide coaching, accountability, and professional development support. 
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and resident-centered service across all supportive housing communities. 
  • Partner with Human Resources to support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention efforts. 
  • Promote practices that value lived experience, cultural responsiveness, and staff well-being. 

Partnerships & Community Engagement 

  • Build and maintain relationships with service providers, housing partners, healthcare organizations, and community stakeholders. 
  • Represent City Care in local coalitions, Continuum of Care meetings, and collaborative initiatives related to housing and homelessness. 
  • Support coordination of wraparound services that help residents achieve housing stability and personal goals. 

Program Development & Continuous Improvement 

  • Support the evaluation and enhancement of supportive housing programs and services. 
  • Assist in planning for future program growth and new supportive housing opportunities. 
  • Contribute operational insights to organizational planning and decision-making. 
  • Identify emerging trends and best practices that strengthen service delivery and resident outcomes.
Salary Description
$29.00 per hour
