Coachella Valley Unified School District covers more than 1,200 square miles of mostly rural desert terrain, serving the communities of Coachella, Thermal, Mecca, Oasis, Indio, and the Salton Sea. Job Summary

The Librarian facilitates student success in academics, research and interpersonal skills by creating an
environment that is favorable to learning and personal growth in the operation of districtwide school libraries.
The Librarian works with the teachers by making library materials/resources, including the use of modern
technical equipment, available to supplement the instructional program, and provides educational experiences
for students that encourage the development of skills, attitudes and knowledge for future learning and life.
