Position: DOT Driver

Location: El Reno, Oklahoma

This position is home nightly and has weekends off. 

Summary: 

The DOT Driver is responsible for safely transporting products between company sites while ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards. This position involves operating commercial vehicles, loading and unloading materials using pallet jacks and forklifts, and conducting required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. The DOT Driver plays a key role in maintaining efficient operations by ensuring cargo is properly secured, deliveries are completed safely, and vehicles are kept clean and well maintained. Candidates must possess a valid Class B CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement, maintain a clean driving record, and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds. Previous experience operating straight trucks or similar heavy vehicles is preferred.

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Driving: Safely operate commercial vehicle to transfer products on campus from site to site.
  • Loading/Unloading: Load and unload cargo utilizing pallet jacks and forklifts, securing loads, and organizing items in the vehicle.
  • Inspections: Perform mandated pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking oil, water, fuel, and tires.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Cleanliness: Ensure upkeep is maintained on both the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
