Savage is looking for a new Team Member to safely and efficiently transfer petroleum coke from the coke pit to a material handling system that will feed the Gasifier Unit inside Coffeyville Resource’s refinery using various types of material handling equipment.

The Basics:

Location: Coffeyville, KS 

Days/Hours: Rotating Shift - Days 4:00 AM  to 2:30 PM / Nights 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM - 4/ON 4/OFF

Equipment Used: 10-wheel dump truck, excavator, front end loader, Skid Steer

Material Handled: Petroleum Coke

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Must have a strong commitment to safety
  • understand the importance of customer service
  • Be a strong communicator, a solid team player, willing to do any task(s) that require(s) attention
  • Willingness to learn new skills is required
  • Some maintenance experience is helpful
  • Experience working with front end loaders is beneficial
  • Always Work safely, possess at least a valid Class B CDL, Class A CDL preferred
  • Able to read, write and understand English
  • MUST have basic math skills
  • Follow written and/or verbal instructions
  • Able to operate a 10-wheel dump truck and understand all controls involved in the dump truck operation, to operate a variety of equipment (excavator, front end loader, Skid steer, etc.)
  • Pass a written and skills test on the type of equipment that he or she will be operating
  • You MUST be willing to help with maintenance, clean-up, and anything else that requires attention, as directed by the Operation Manager or lead operator
  • You must wear required PPE
  • Always conduct themselves in a professional manner, willing to comply with Savage’s personal appearance policy

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Driver/Operator will work outdoors every day and as a result will be exposed to the elements
  • Driver/Operator must be physically able to climb in and out of the equipment, ascend and descend ladders and steps and should not have a fear of heights
  • Driver/Operator must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must have the ability to use basic hand tools
