Progressive Directions, Inc. is hiring an Early Intervention Evaluator (EIE) to support children and families through the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS). This role is responsible for completing timely, accurate evaluations and guiding families through the eligibility process with clarity and care.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct intake, eligibility, and ongoing TEIS evaluations
  • Schedule and communicate directly with families
  • Administer and interpret developmental assessments
  • Complete evaluation summaries within required timelines
  • Support the development of IFSP goals using assessment data
  • Complete annual, 3rd birthday, and exit evaluations
  • Document all required information in TEIDS
  • Educate families on services, supports, and available resources
  • Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a qualifying field (Early Childhood, Special Education, Child Development, Speech Therapy, OT, PT, Communication Disorders, or related field).
  • Or related degree (social work, psychology, etc.) with at least 1 year of experience with the birth–5 population
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage timelines and multiple cases

Required for Employment

  • Valid, non-restricted driver’s license
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) (will be reviewed)
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Successful completion of a drug screening
  • Must meet Department of Education and DDA certification requirements

Work Expectations

  • Timely completion of evaluations is critical
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are required
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
