Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing electrical construction projects throughout the region while also providing leadership and operational oversight to Project Managers within the department. This role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with company standards, customer expectations, and contractual requirements.
The Senior PM serves as a key operational leader within the department and works closely with field leadership, estimating, operations leadership, and executive management to support project execution, workforce planning, process consistency, and long term departmental growth. This position also plays an active role in mentoring and developing Project Managers and driving accountability across project teams.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and oversee multiple electrical construction projects simultaneously.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and operational direction to Project Managers and project teams.
- Monitor project schedules, manpower, procurement, financial performance, and risk management activities.
- Review budgets, labor performance, billing status, forecasting, and change order management to ensure profitability goals are achieved.
- Establish and maintain project objectives, procedures, and performance standards consistent with company policy and contract requirements.
- Work closely with superintendents, foremen, and field leadership to coordinate project execution and staffing needs.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement standardized processes and best practices across projects.
- Support conflict resolution, customer escalations, and complex project related issues.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and serve as a senior point of contact for key clients.
- Participate in project meetings, operational strategy meetings, and executive discussions.
- Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams during turnover and planning phases.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, development, and performance management of project management staff.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, operational procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Prepare and review reports related to project progress, scheduling, manpower, and financial performance.

Requirements
- Extensive electrical construction background required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical estimating, project management, design, and National Electrical Code.
- Prior experience managing Project Managers or leading multi project operations preferred.
- Strong financial management, forecasting, and customer relationship skills required.
- Proficient with construction management software, scheduling platforms, and project financial reporting tools.
