Elementary School Counselor

Full-time Position available for 2026-2027 school year

Qualifications:

Possess or qualify for Virginia Professional License for K-12 School Guidance Counselor

Possess knowledge and skills to provide instruction in Character Education and other relevant curricula for elementary guidance program

Demonstrate knowledge of laws and regulations associated with children's welfare

Demonstrate ability to provide leadership for various program implementation

Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and coaching students to promote social and emotional development as well as academic and career development

Demonstrate professional and personal characteristics necessary for effective and positive interactions with students, colleagues, parents and community

Prefer:

Experience with counseling children and/or families

Experience in school guidance, specific program leadership and/or administration

Experience with Testing administration

Salary to be determined by verified experience and 2026-2027 Salary Scale
