Job Summary:  



Weld the tail and head ends of the coils together, and filling the ACC.



 



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  












































  • Responsible for keeping mill supplied with strip.


  • Record strip usage.


  • Operate Coil Car and Turnstile to load coils in Un-Coder


  • Check all strips for proper amount of strip width.


  • Operate End Welder to weld strip ends together.


  • Load accumulator for proper amount to strip.


  • Mark all Butt-welds.


  • Notify Mill Operator when weld is entering mill.


  • Assist in roll changes and breakdowns.


  • Fill out necessary reports


  • Maintain safe work area and procedures.


  • Fill out maintenance list.



  • Other duties as assigned
