Department Summary

The mission of the Division of Student Affairs is to create transformational experiences for all UNT Health students by providing tailored support and fostering holistic development. There are 8 functional units within the Division of Student Affairs: Center for Student Life, Career Readiness Center, Center for Academic Performance, Office of Care and Civility, Testing and Evaluation Services, International Services, Office for Disability Access, and Student Assistance Resource Center.

Position Overview

This position is part of the Division of Student Affairs at UNT Health within the Department of Testing and Evaluation Services. This position supports UNTH students and academic departments with a wide variety of student, course, program, and curriculum assessment activities including creating and administering assessments. This position provides primary support and guidance for other TES team members.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Duties

  • Consult with and advise faculty from academic programs to develop effective student assessment solutions that meet a broad range of curricular goals.
  • Coordinate the TES testing schedule for all UNTH academic programs.
  • Facilitate the development and support of item categorization processes to provide valuable category-based performance feedback to students and faculty.
  • Lead projects related to the collection, tabulation, and analysis of student assessment data.
  • Responsible for coaching Specialists in prioritizing duties and distributing workload.
  • Plan, organize, and manage the training of new TES Specialists in the understanding and operation of computer-based testing processes and providing assessment support for academic programs.
  • Provide technical support to TES Specialists and Proctors.
  • Oversee testing operation details to ensure the security of all tests, test records, and student data. Ensure that classroom exams are adequately staffed for proctoring support.
  • Collaborate in the evaluation of TES policy, protocol and procedures related to student assessment and exam administration.
  • Coordinate the use of rubrics for student assessment solutions in collaboration with TES Director and Assistant Director. Ensure a consistent rubrics approach across all academic programs.
  • Explore new tools and technologies to expand the assessment of hands-on activities (i.e. OSCE and Physical Exams).
  • Support the UNTH course/faculty evaluation system. Collaborate with TES leadership to facilitate the student evaluation of all UNTH courses and faculty. 
  • Manage requests for specialized external assessments (i.e. COMSAE, CBSE, FBS, PACKRAT).
  • Manage student and faculty data initiatives including the TCOM Academic Progress Report (APR) and other dashboards.
  • Responsible for the TES SharePoint system including managing team member access and data.
  • Oversee new proctor onboarding. Manage annual compliance training for all hourly proctors.
  • Assist with approving proctor time. Maintain the TES website. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional evenings or weekends as required for divisional events. Occasionally required to come in before 8:00am to set up on exam days.
