Environmental Services Director

Join us in the skilled nursing facility setting at Norwichtown Rehab and Care Center!

At Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center (NRCC), we are committed to promoting maximum independence for each resident in a homelike environment. As an Environmental Services Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and overall aesthetic of our 120-bed skilled nursing community. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Environmental Services team and drive excellence in this critical area of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Environmental Services department, including housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance

  • Develop and implement effective cleaning and disinfection protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff

  • Coordinate with nursing and other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services

  • Manage and supervise a team of Environmental Services staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure high-quality performance

  • Develop and maintain quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards

  • Collaborate with facility leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures related to Environmental Services

  • Conduct regular audits and surveys to assess the effectiveness of Environmental Services and identify areas for improvement

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to resident satisfaction and care outcomes

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in an Environmental Services leadership role in a healthcare setting

  • Strong knowledge of cleaning and disinfection protocols, as well as OSHA regulations and guidelines

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and resolve issues effectively

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
