Position Purpose

 

 

Qualifications

Education

High school education or equivalent with experience or technical education equivalent to an associate’s degree in business, or supply chain management

Experience

3-5 years’ experience in positions of increasing responsibility in sanitation and environmental services

Specialized or Technical Knowledge or Skills

Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations. 

Licensure/Certification

 

 

 

Responsibility to Ministry

 

Duties described below will be performed in a manner consistent with the mission and ministry of Baptist Life Communities. It is the mission of Baptist Life Communities to administer the Spirit of Christ in person by providing not-for-profit health care and other services to the elderly and their families in a Christian environment based upon the examples and teaching of Christ.  It is expected that the person in this position seek excellence in his/her own work in support of the ministry of Baptist Life Communities.

·       Directly supervises employees in the Environmental Services departments; including housekeeping and laundry.

·       Makes rounds throughout the facility to examine cleanliness, safety, and working condition of each resident room, hallway, common area, and exterior component of the building.

·       Maintains an adequate supply of linen and equipment, housekeeping supplies, and chemicals as to efficiently operate within budget.
 
Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
