HealthPartners is hiring an EpicCare Analyst - Ambulatory and Security. The EpicCare Ambulatory & Security Analyst is responsible for the design, build, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of EpicCare Ambulatory and related clinical applications. This role partners closely with physicians, nursing leaders, operational stakeholders, and technical teams to enhance ambulatory workflows, improve provider efficiency, and support key organizational initiatives.
This analyst serves as a subject matter expert in ambulatory workflows, including clinical documentation, orders, and scheduling integrations, and provides application support across the care delivery environment. Experience with Epic Security administration, including role-based access and user provisioning, is highly valued.
This position reports to the Manager of IT Care Delivery Applications and is part of a collaborative team of twelve analysts with a range of experience and expertise.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three (3) years of experience in backend IT analysis and technical design
- One (1) year of experience coding, testing, and implementing program changes and system configurations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of healthcare/ health plan experience
- EpicCare Ambulatory certification, accreditation, or proficiency.
- Experience with Cache coding or SQL.
- Experience supporting ambulatory clinical workflows.
- Experience with Epic Security, role-based security design, user provisioning, or access management.
- Experience with clinical documentation, orders, charge capture, scheduling, or provider workflows.
- Experience participating in Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization efforts.
Hours/Location:
- M-F; core business hours
- This role is primarily remote, with an occasional on-site presence required for team meetings, system upgrades, project go-lives, and Epic-related activities.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, test, implement, and support EpicCare Ambulatory and related Epic applications.
- Partner with operational and clinical stakeholders to evaluate workflow needs and identify system solutions.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into system designs and build specifications.
- Perform system configuration, testing, implementation, and upgrade activities.
- Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolution across application, technical, and operational teams.
- Develop testing plans, test scripts, and implementation documentation.
- Support clinical workflow optimization initiatives and provider efficiency efforts.
- Participate in Epic Upgrades, new functionality adoption, and strategic projects.
- Collaborate with Epic Security teams on user access, role design, and security-related initiatives.
- Provide on-call support within the EpicCare Ambulatory team.
