Job Description

The Seeds of Giving is Danos’ community investment and employee engagement initiative, rooted in Danos’ purpose: Honor God. Develop great people to solve big challenges. This full-time Executive Director role will help lead and strengthen that work.

The Executive Director will lead Seeds of Giving by strengthening employee engagement, building community partnerships, stewarding charitable resources, and helping Danos make a meaningful impact where we live and work.

This is both a shepherding and building role. The right person will be relational, humble, disciplined, comfortable leading through influence, and able to turn purpose into practical action.

Reporting & Key Relationships

The Executive Director will report to the Seeds of Giving family lead and work closely with the Seeds of Giving Committee, Danos leadership, employees, nonprofit partners, customers, and community stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and represent Seeds of Giving: Serve as the primary leader and ambassador for its purpose, programs, and impact.
  • Build relationships: Develop trust with employees, nonprofit partners, customers, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Steward giving and impact: Help manage charitable giving, partner accountability, impact tracking, and transparent reporting.
  • Engage and support employees: Increase employee awareness, participation, volunteerism, donor engagement, and support for employees’ needs while helping identify meaningful community and employee support opportunities.
  • Coordinate programs and volunteers: Work with the committee, Danos leaders, volunteers, and partners to execute initiatives.
  • Communicate stories of impact: Capture and share stories of generosity, service, and community impact.

Essential Attributes

  • Humble, trustworthy, and servant-hearted leader.
  • Highly relational and energized by spending time with people.
  • Able to build trust across the organization – from frontline employees to senior leadership.
  • Compassionate, discerning, organized, and values driven.
  • Strong communicator who can connect with diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable leading through influence rather than formal authority.
  • Personally aligned with Danos’ purpose and The Seeds of Giving’s guiding principles.

Success Measures

  • Greater employee awareness, participation, volunteerism, donor engagement, committee engagement, and connection to community impact.
  • Stronger relationships with nonprofit partners, customers, and community leaders.
  • Clear reporting on funds invested, people served, volunteer hours, and measurable impact.
  • Meaningful support for employee and community needs.
  • Consistent execution, follow-through, and improvement of Seeds of Giving programs.
  • A visible strengthening of Danos’ culture of generosity, compassion, service, and commitment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, nonprofit management, communications, ministry, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of nonprofit leadership experience, ministry, community engagement, business, communications, or related areas.
  • Experience managing relationships, programs, budgets, volunteers, or community partnerships.
  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to lead with humility, discretion, sound judgment, and alignment with Danos’ purpose and culture.

Role Orientation

The right person will be both relational and operational: able to build trust, manage details, steward resources, and turn purpose into measurable community impact.
