This position is schedule to work PRN and will be eligible for an 8% pay differential. 

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Exercise Physiologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying the physiological mechanisms underlying physical activity and applying your expertise to improve the health and fitness of individuals. You will provide comprehensive treatment services focused on the analysis, enhancement, and maintenance of physical health, including rehabilitation for heart disease, chronic diseases, disabilities, and overall wellness.

    • Analyze and assess the physiological responses to physical activity.

    • Design, implement, and monitor personalized exercise programs for individuals, focusing on rehabilitation for chronic conditions and overall fitness improvement.

    • Provide professional guidance and counseling for athletes and individuals engaged in sports training.

    • Assist in the rehabilitation of patients with cardiovascular diseases, chronic illnesses, or physical disabilities.

    • Promote human adaptability to both acute and chronic exercise conditions.

    • Educate patients and clients on exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle choices that enhance health outcomes.

Summary

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, health & fitness, corporate wellness or related degree.

Minimum 1 year experience in implementing a wellness program, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, or group exercise leadership with experience in Patient Assessment, Exercise Testing,
Exercise Prescription, Exercise Training and Leadership, Education and Behavior Change, and Legal and Professional Considerations.

Proficiency in utilizing effective coaching techniques.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

American College of Sports Medicine-Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACMS-CEP),

ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP), or equivalent.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
